In addition to her nursing qualifications, Louise is qualified to examine patients, make a diagnosis, give advice, arrange treatment/medication and follow up progress. Louise is also the nurse you will see for asthma and other respiratory related diseases. If you contact either surgery asking for an urgent medical consultation it may be Louise who will return your call and assess the urgency of the problem.

Rachael & Megan
Rachael and Megan hold clinics by appointment on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. They can undertake blood tests, blood pressure monitoring, new patient medicals, ECGs and other tests, and will also be giving some flu vaccinations this year too.
If you have been in hospital, Rachael will ensure that once you are discharged, the transition from hospital to home will run smoothly.
Midwives from Airedale General Hospital or East Lancashire Hospitals Trust, will provide care throughout your pregnancy and the early postnatal period after your baby is born, including type of care, place of delivery, pain relief and many others, including screening tests.
We have a small team of District Nurses who will provide nursing care to those who are housebound and therefore unable to attend surgery. Referral to this service will normally be done by a doctor or hospital department. The nurses will deliver their care to each individuals needs.
Kathryn Phillips BA(Hons), MSc, MIPD, MIHM
Kathryn has overall responsibility for the management of our Colne Corner Surgery site. She is responsible for many areas, including the planning and development of the Practice Team and surgery premises.
Lori ensures the smooth running of the Practice on a day-to-day basis. She will deal personally with any problems you may experience which are of a non-medical nature and, will be open to any suggestions as to how we could improve our service to patients.
Nicola is responsible for the quality of Information and data within the Practice. She ensures that patients with long term conditions are monitored and is responsible for childhood immunisation scheduling and much more too.

The reception team is here to help. They are trained to help patients with their enquires and problems. When contacting the Surgery, please give as much information as possible, as they may need to pass this on to the Doctors or Nurses.
Other staff you may meet are the Health Visitors, Treatment Room Nurses, Community Psychiatric Nurses, Chiropodists who are based in the Health Centre should you need to see them.
